Misc Baseball Notes

First and foremost, the Brewers are off to a great start! They have swept the Pirates, and as I write this, they are leading a close game against the D-backs. Thanks to the Cubs winning today (as much as that totally sucks) the Brew Crew could end up being the sole undefeated team in the NL after the night is over.

Ben Sheets had a pretty good rehab start. Hopefully, once he is back, he will be able to stay healthy.

My favorite AL team is not exactly off to a stellar start. We'll ignore that for now.

That other team from NY put on a good show last night. Just Pedro being Pedro. He's still a fun guy to watch pitch. You never know what's going to happen. It was great seeing the fans giving Guillen what-for after his little move towards the mound. Gotta love them NY fans!

Finally, I added a new blogger to my links. I meant to add that blog a while ago, but forgot. If you want some good Brewers info, go check out True Blue Brew Crew.

Update: The Brewers are now officially 4-0, and are the last undefeated team in the NL. Turnbow's 4th save wasn't quite as ugly as his 3rd, but it would sure feel good to be able to let him rest in at least one of the next two games...

White Sox off to slow start and Cubs doing well. I'm not worried. I think the Sox will make a run for it. But the great thing about the start of baseball season is that football is only four months away.

And the great thing about the football season is they only play essentially one day a week... :)
