First Brewer's Game of the Year!

Today was the first Brewers game that we had in our ticket package. What a great game to start out on, too. Dave Bush had his stuff together. He pitched a full game shut-out, and faced the minimum in five innings. In the other four innings, he faced four batters for three of them, and five once.

On the offensive side of things, the Brewers were also clicking. In the fourth inning, the Brew Crew spanked out five home runs, and scored seven runs on seven hits. When the Red's finally took Claussen out, the fans over by the Red's dugout were mock genuflecting to him. It was truly a thing of beauty!

As it turns out, it has been forty years since any team has spanked five homers in one inning. It has now been done five times, four of which Cincinnati was on the wrong end of.

I have some pictures of my scorecards from the game out on flickr if anyone is interested. The scorecards from this game are definitely keepers.

The next game in our ticket package is 05/02. I can't wait!
