Killer 'should not have been out'

Hey, look, a headline that I actually agree with! If these watchdog groups can figure this crap out, why can't the parole boards? Leave these people in prison. They are no good for society, and need to be removed from general circulation. Yes, as Christians we should have compassion for all people, especially those in prison. However, having compassion for someone, and forgiving them for their sins does not mean we have to let them out of prison when prison is where they need to be for the good of society.
The head of Hampshire's probation service, Barry Crook, accepted there were "clear lessons" to be learned, but added that there was nothing staff could reasonably have done to prevent the murder.
Yeah, right. I am so sick of this excuse. I am also sick of these people being let out of prison. Sexual predators are not rehabilitated. Some may learn to control themselves, but that is about the extent of it. They are not more rehabilitated than Alex was in A Clockwork Orange.

Here in the Milwaukee area, there is a constant debate on what we should do with paroled sexual predators. My response has always been to not parole them in the first place. The chances of them reverting to their previous behavior is almost 100%. Thus, there is no real reason to parole these people. I truly believe this is the sort of crime that should qualify a person for life in prison without parole. Period.
Mr Bridges said prison and other officials were side-tracked by considering Rice's human rights above their duties to the public.
Duh!

Horrible, horrible. I agree with you that sex offenders are a different breed of criminal and should be treated as such. Unfortunately, we hear this sort of story all too often.
